She
recommended to visit area schools to obtain further ideas for furnishings.
Selectman Vaccaro suggested that Mr.Dinizio contact additional educational
organizations to obtain information relative to furniture and equipment
trade shows and return to the Board for re-consideration.
Request to seek waiver from the State re: Sewage
Treatment Plant:
As noted by Mr. Dinizio, the Jr/Sr High School Building Committee
voted to request the Board of Selectmen seek a waiver from the State
to allow construction of a Title V septic system rather than a sewage
treatment plant at the high school as now proposed.
Enclosed for the Board's review was a memo submitted by Elias McQuaid,
Health Agent dated August 5, 1994 regarding this issue of concern.
In his opinion, the matter should be further investigated in terms of
flow estimates for the projected enrollment.
It was noted that the State will not reimburse either system.
*It is the consensus of the Board to obtain engineering support
regarding this option at this time.
Request to Waive Board of Appeals Filing Fee:
Bill Hauck,Building inspector submitted a memo to the Board dated
August 10. 1994 relative to a request received from the school
architect to waive the Board of Appeals filing fee.
Symmes, Maini and McKee are requesting a variance to reduce the
parking space size required for the jr/sr high school facility.
Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to waive the Board of
Appeals Filing Fee as requested.
