Page 11
Board of Selectmen
Minutes
October 24, 1994
Personnel Board Action Plan for Review and Acceptance:
Selectman Vaccaro expressed concern to the Action Plan submitted
by the Personnel Board. The plan is vague and subject to many
interpretations. Selectman Vaccaro recommended to focus on
Mr. Whritenour's eight action steps.
*Mr. Whritenour's action steps will be submitted to the Personnel
Board for review and response as recommended.
Memo from DPW Director re: Town's Ability to Contract
with Water District for Road Paving:
Communication was received from Greg Taylor dated October 17, 1994
relative to the Water District's request to allow paving to be performed
with the Mashpee DPW Annual Bid process.
If approved, the Water District will forward the sum of$36,262 to
an isolated account. There is not cost to the DPW. It was noted that
the DPW will act as the authorizing agent for the benefit of the Seabrook
Village residents in an effort to save money.
Mr. Whritenour indicated that Town Counsel is reviewing the proposal
and will be developing an agreement with the Water District. It was
noted that the Water District will assume all responsibility with regards
to this process.
Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the above
request as presented subject to Town Counsel's approval.
Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro.
VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0.
Disbursement of Human Services Funds:
Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to approve the
disbursement of $15,500 allocated to Human Service
Agencies.
Motion seconded by Selectman Costa.
VOTE: Unanimous. 4.0.
i
