Page 7 Board of Selectmen Minutes February 27, 1995 NEW BUSINESS: 125th Anniversary Committee Update: Ms.Ferragamo presented a calendar of events to celebrate Mashpee's 125th Anniversary. Several events include; the Mashpee Follies,a Heritage Walk along the Mashpee River to South Cape Beach,an Open House at the Carol Jacobson Senior Center,Memorial Day weekend activities,a Community Concert, a Dinner/Dance and a Festival to be scheduled at South Cape Beach. Ms. Ferragamo indicated that she is pleased with the progress and calendar of activities planned for the 125th Anniversary. This is an opportunity for us to come together as a community indicated Ms. Ferragamo. The Mashpee Historical Commission is preparing to publish a pictorial history book to commemorate Mashpee's 125th Anniversary. At this time, additional funds are necessary to complete this endeavor noted Ms. Ferragamo, Selectman Vaccaro, serving on the 125th Anniversary Committee j recommended to place the sum of$5,000 on the Town Meeting Warrant for approval to cover expense items of the 125 Anniversary Committee as requested. It was noted that the Town will be reimbursed 100% for expenditures. Motion made by Selectman Costa to place the sum of $5,000 on the Town Meeting Warrant as recommended for the 125th Anniversary Committee. Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Request to repair Meetinghouse Well: Communication was received from Greg Taylor,Director of Public Works dated February 9, 1995 requesting to repair the Meetinghouse well located at the cemetery so that it is operable during the 125th year celebration. Repairs are estimated to cost$800. Funds are currently located in the budget of the Department of Public Works. Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to approve the Repair to the Meetinghouse Well as requested. Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Recess: 8:55 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 9:03 p.m.
