Draft I - March 16, 1995 <br /> Article 31. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from <br /> available funds the sum of$438,527 to complete road improvement projects under <br /> Chapter 90 of the General Laws, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Director of Public Works <br /> Explanation: This article authorizes the use of State Grant funds for the next two- <br /> year Chapter 90 road improvement program. <br /> Article 32. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to grant an <br /> easement to Commonwealth Electric Company for the installation and maintenance <br /> of necessary poles and equipment on Town-owned land off Meetinghouse Road to <br /> service the Town of Mashpee Police firing range, or take any other action relating <br /> thereto <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article will allow Commonwealth Electric the ability to install <br /> and maintain necessary equipment to house the Police firing range. <br /> Article 33: <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from <br /> available funds the sum of $35,069.33 to create the position of Public Safety <br /> DEmployee <br /> ispatchSupervisor, with said funds to be apportioned as follows: $29,333 to the <br /> Medical Insurance Account, $5,277 to the Employee Medical Insurance <br /> Account,Account, $34 to the Group Insurance and $425.33 to the Medicare <br /> Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Police Department <br /> Explanation: The necessity for creating this position is two-fold. Firstly, the <br /> public safety dispatch center needs the additional dispatcher position daily so there is <br /> not an over reliance on utilizing part-time dispatch personnel to fill scheduling <br /> vacancies which would be best filled by full-time dispatch personnel having a higher <br /> level of training, skill, and experience.
