Page 4 Board of Selectmen Minutes October 16, 1995 APPOINTMENTS AND BEARE_5 Betsy Golub = League of Women voters: Betsy Golub was present on behalf of the League of Women Voters to request the Board sponsor a seminar in conjunction with the League on the open Meeting Law., Wednesday,December 6, 1995 - Coombs School -7:00 p.m. Motion made by selectman Mills to sponsor and participate . p p in the Open Meeting Law forum with the League of Women Voters as requested. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. *All elected officials, appointed boards and board secretaries will be invited to attend the seminar. The Board of Selectmen will issue a memo to all applicable parties relative to this important matter. COMMUNICATIONS AND CCRRESPDNT]ENCE: Communication from Cape Cod Commission re: Minutes: Correspondence was received from Armando Carbonell,Executive Director of the Cape Cod Commission dated September 25, 1995 relative to copies of the Commission's meeting minutes. The Cape Cod Commission has offered to provide meeting minutes if there is sufficient interest. *It is the consensus of the Board to obtain minutes specific to Mashpee. The Commission will be requested to notify the Selectmen of any issues Of interest pertaining to the Town of Mashpee. County Assembly of Delegates re: Department of Public Safety services: Communication was received from the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates dated September 25, 1995 relative to services provided by the Department of Public Safety. The Assembly of Delegates has requested the Board give input into the process to determine what services should be retained in addition to services or functions not currently provided that should be considered for future use. *It is the consensus of the Board to forward this matter to applicable Public Safety Departments for input into the process.
