It was noted that the
Waterways Commission supports this request.
In other business, the Shellfish Commission has voted unanimously to
recommend the opening of the Ockway Bay Landing Closure Area for
the taking of soft-shelled clams.
It was noted that the area was closed to protect the clams for spawning
and seed growth.
Mr.York indicated that all recommendations will take effect on Friday,
November 10, 1995 at sunrise if approved by the Board of Selectmen.
Being no further comment, Selectman Vaccaro closed the Public Hearing.
Motion made by Selectman Mills to amend the Scallop Season
as recommended to close at sunset on December 31, 1995
and re-open at sunrise on October 1, 1996
Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio.
TE: Unanimous. 4-0.
s
Motion made by Selectman Mills to approve the proposed
Family Shellfishing Area in Hamblin's Pond as recommended
effective at sunrise on Friday, November 10, 1995.
Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn.
.YQT : Unanimous. 4-0.
.k
