Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Design Review Committee <br /> Held Tuesday, November 6, 2018 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Mr. Cummings asked about the sign on the building. Mr. Junqueira pointed out that the <br /> sign on the building is approximately 10 sq. ft., and it seems to be within the requirements. <br /> Mr. Mendoza said it appears that most of questions were answered, and especially the <br /> questions that were raised by other members of the committee that were not present but <br /> were notified. He doesn't have a problem with the colors or the shutters. <br /> Joe didn't have any more comments. <br /> Mr. Mendoza moved to discuss the free standing sign that requires an application. He <br /> wanted to make sure that the applicants understood that it was not part of the original <br /> application and requires a separate discussion. He pointed out that the sign that was <br /> submitted had three different color swatches, and he wants to see the exact height and <br /> dimensions. He told the applicants they will need to schedule another Design Review <br /> meeting to discuss the specific sign requirements. <br /> Mr. Mendoza made a motion that the applicant has met the requirements requested from <br /> the October 16, 2018 meeting. <br /> Mr. Cummings seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> Other Business: Approve meeting minutes dated October 16, 2018 <br /> Mr. Mendoza moved to approve the meeting minutes. Mr. Cummings seconded. All were <br /> in favor. Bill Blaisdell abstained. <br /> Mike Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:00 am. <br /> NEW HEARING <br /> 9:00 Business name: Cape Cod Dog Center Inc. <br /> Project Address: 31 Evergreen Circle <br /> Owner:Evergreen Energy LLC as owner <br /> Representative: Attorney, Kevin Kirrane, DKM&G <br /> Representative: Design Learned, Inc. <br /> Architect: Brown, Lindquist, Fenuccio & Raber <br /> Requests: Proposed 6,376 sq. ft. building to be used as <br /> Dog daycare and boarding center. <br /> Attorney Kirrane represented the applicants. He said that the proposed building is a <br /> refreshing change from the usual metal buildings that are generally built in industrial and <br /> commercial parks. His clients are currently operating the same business in a leased space <br /> in Sandwich but they would like to develop a property of their own, and operate their dog <br /> center as indicated in their application. The building is about a 6,400 sq. ft. in the newly <br /> developed sub-division that was lost to the bank and was foreclosed on. The utilities are <br /> currently being placed. This facility will offer both a dog day care, and suites for dogs to be <br /> boarded overnight. The hours of operation will be 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. There <br /> will be 18 parking spaces that exceed the 8-space requirement for this size structure. <br /> 2 <br />
