Kirsner asked for opinions from the members of the ad- <br /> i oryormmi ttee <br /> J. Monaghan i. di ed that hunting should continue as pre- <br /> viously voted. <br /> Bill Martiros stated that he hada little doubt about hunting <br /> and the construction phase at the same time. He would not <br /> care to have it on his conscience if an accident should occur. <br /> Bruce McHenry stated that in his views, if the manager of the <br /> park, and DEM were diligent in their contacts with their <br /> onservation officer, alone with signage, they could permit <br /> hunting in the remaining areas , if it should he restricted <br /> to the area furthest away from the construction site on <br /> McGregor load and the sites on the access road. <br /> C. Conroy stated that she felt there should he some sort of <br /> notification, or signage warning that there was construction <br /> being done both at the entrance to WIL11s Work Road and the <br /> main road. <br /> Cramer asked if there had been any commitment on the fre- <br /> quency <br /> re-,quency o f the environmental police* There had not been. <br /> W, Woods questioned publicizing that construction was going <br /> to start. She felt there should he newspaper, radio re- <br /> leases, W. Woods expressed her doubts about hunting going <br /> on when there was construction because it would add to the <br /> stress of the wildlife in the area. In her opinion, it would <br /> he better to suspend hunting for a season. <br /> M. Kirsner asked Richard Fle i <br /> nng for written confirmation <br /> specifically as to chat he had started with an elaboration <br /> as to the frequency of the E. P ' s. Will they be on duty at <br /> all times when the contractor and his people were on duty? <br /> r <br /> Flemmang has indicated that he will see that the conunittee <br /> receives the appropriate letter confirming all of that in <br /> writing within ten days. <br /> Chm, Kirsn r. stated that we have in force, a motion by this <br /> board which was arrived at in the course of the annual hunting <br /> meeting on July 26 , 1994 , which by a majority Grote approved <br /> the continuation of hunting, pending the appearance of the <br /> construction company. <br />
