Update/Review: Mitigation Regulation 12 <br /> <br />Katelyn Cadaret, Assistant Conservation Agent, stated she has been working with other <br />towns on how they deal with Regulation 12. She recommended we should tighten up the <br />process but not change the regulation. <br /> <br />Discussion: Matthew Costa, Cape & Islands Engineering, CCA pressure-treated piles: <br />request of the Commission - Hold <br /> <br />Update/Signatures: Enforcement Order – 44 Little Neck Lane violation (coastal bank <br />clearing) <br /> <br />Discussion on 87 Hooppole Rd-Alper conservation land encroachment: <br /> <br />The Assistant Agent stated she has met with the Conservation Restriction Specialist from <br />the Mass Audubon and walked the property because there was concerned activity with <br />compliance issues in the area. She said the maintenance of the traveled way is still in <br />question and noted paving is forbidden. She said erosion issues have also increased. <br />The abutter has filled in the eroded areas with crushed stone. To move forward, we want <br />to get the area under control as far as any activity to be done and to keep the <br />communication open potentially the granting of a license to maintain that road or some <br />kind of Memorandum of Understanding between Conservation, Mass Audubon, and <br />homeowners going forward. The activities don’t seem to require the cost of doing a <br />boundary delineation. She said they searched for the concrete markers but could not find <br />them. <br /> <br />Update: Upper Quashnet Restoration funding from the Air Force Civil Engineering Center <br />(AFCEC) <br /> <br />The Agent announced the good news that the funding has been approved from the Air <br />Force for the Restoration of the Upper Quashnet Restoration. The only thing in question is <br />the timeline and he will be working with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center on this. <br /> <br />Update: Assistant Agent – Alper Conservation Area and other business <br /> <br />She noted there has only been a couple of instances of dumping. One was a pay, no <br />issue, and the other, she will be going to a hearing. <br /> <br />She is looking into printing issues for the trail maps. <br /> <br />She noted the AmeriCorps individual placements are October 1. <br /> <br /> <br />
