r
4
Chair also had a conversation with Mirk Lombardo regarding his level of participation at meetings
and a recent article in the Enterprise. Limited participation at the meetings puts in question
whether the Town is receiving its money's worth. Mr. Lombardo has indicated that he prefers
not to spear off the cuff and-would rather analyze materials before making statements.
Chairman Fudala recommended that $402. of the $730 bill, which represents Mr. Rubenstein'
attendance at the previous'meeting, be paid.
Mr. Lyons made a motion to pay the$402.50 as recommended by the Chair.
Mr. O'Hara clarified that, by making the motion, Mr. Lombardo and Mr. Rubenstein would not
be paid the $327.50 for the unauthorized memorandum which is not covered by the contract.
Mr. O'Haranoted that, if his preference is to draft a memo rather than participate in discussion at
the meeting, the memo is part of his participation in the meeting and not a separate expense. The
Chair noted that Mr. Lombardo has been contracted to attend and participate in the meetings.
The memorandum provided a comparison of the Commission's scenario to his scenario which
should have been discussed at a meeting. Mr. Klenert added that the memo is a reflection of his
opinion for which the Commission does not pay. The Commissioners were in agreement that
only $402.50 be paid out of the total bill o $730.
Mr. o'Hara seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. Commissioners signed the
warrant.
-SRF `Green Grant" Loam
It was reported that there was no news about the grant for the Pirates Cove PRB, but that
notification may occur in M1 arch. Commissioners
suggested that the 1 'hwould not be a good date for a meeting. Due to conflicting meeting dates
and Bruited availability of Commissioners, it was suggested that the February meeting be
cancelled. Concern was expressed about slipping a meeting. vendor quotes were anticipated for
the February meeting but Chairman Fudala was unsure of their readiness. It was suggested that,
if the vendor quotes are not ready for the February meeting, that the Commission cancel the
February meeting and meet at the scheduled March 15th meeting.
Discussion of Property Tax vs. Betterments,Private Treatment Plants, residents Served v .
Not on Sewer, Water Distri
