6:30 George L. & Kathleen J. Hodgson, 17 Cedar Street. Proposed removal of <br /> hazardous trees and replacement with native plant species. RDA <br /> Resource Area: Buffer Zone to Coastal Bank, Shoestring Bay <br /> Kathleen Hodgson, homeowner, stated her proposal is to removed 5 trees located on east <br /> side of the garage near the top of the bank and replace with trees approved by arborist. <br /> She noted the arborist stated 4 of the trees are engulfed with invasive vines and are in <br /> poor condition and the 5E" tree presents a risk to the structures. <br /> The Agent showed pictures of the trees in question. He contacted the arborist to see if <br /> pruning would be an alternative and they said to remove them would likely kill the tree. He <br /> noted the four trees which have invasive ivy. He noted the coastal bank and stated the <br /> trees are within the 50' buffer. He recommended not to replace the oak tree with an oak <br /> tree and agreed with the arborist's recommendation for replacement. <br /> No comment from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. Smith moved a Negative Determination, seconded by Mr. O'Neill. Vote <br /> unanimous 4-0 <br /> 6:33 William M. & Christine Herbert, 42 Spoondrift Way. Proposed installation of <br /> lawn. RDA <br /> Resource Area: Buffer Zone to Coastal Bank, LSCSF <br /> William and Christine Herbert, homeowners, were present. Christine stated the proposal is <br /> to put in some lawn in the front of the house and along the driveway. <br /> The Agent stated this is an after the fact filing. He stated he saw the contractors installing <br /> sod on the property which abuts Popponesset Creek. The contractors were in the <br /> process of installing the lawn and he stopped the work. He called up the contractor to <br /> make sure the lawn met our lawn standards and reviewed the photos of the property. The <br /> contractor submitted documentation and then the work continued. He noted the town has <br /> a nitrogen control bylaw and that is the reasoning for the lawn standard. <br /> No comment from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. Smith moved a Negative Determination, seconded by Mr. Dalton. Proposed septic <br /> system upgrade, hardscape modifications, irrigation well installation and shed <br /> relocation. RDA <br /> Resource Area: Coastal Bank, Salt Marsh, Popponesset and Oakway Bay <br /> Matt Costa, Cape & Islands Engineering, represented the applicants. He stated the <br /> proposal is to relocate the existing shed and proposed irrigation well, reconfigure and <br /> expand the driveway and retaining walls and upgrade and increase design flow of existing <br /> sewage disposal system with Micro fast IIA. The limit of work to be installed prior to any <br /> work performed and reviewed the proposal on the plan. The existing septic tank will be <br />
