Mashpee Greenway CPC Application for Quashnet Footbridge Update, Other <br /> Funding Options. <br /> The Chair reported on the Mashpee Greenway Quashnet Footbridge. They did a site <br /> visit and found a good location for a bridge which is smaller in size and seems to be <br /> more feasible which should bring the cost down considerably and the committee will be <br /> meeting later this month. <br /> ACTION ITEMS UPDATE <br /> Mashpee CWMP: No Update <br /> Mashpee Nutrient Control Bylaw: Update on AG Approval — No Update <br /> Estuary Restoration/Shellfish Propagation: Update <br /> Ashley Fisher stated they are in the process of redoing their systems, they are building <br /> their upweller systems and will have at least five floats in Little River. They will be able <br /> to house 10 million seeds in the upweller systems and can work with the shellfish in <br /> high tide and low tide. She described the process of growing the shellfish. Mr. York <br /> said they have increased the efficiency by getting rid of the hatchery building and <br /> moved back to an earlier nursery stage where they are fed to make sure they grow <br /> faster. He said this is a State of the Art system that no other town is doing. The Chair <br /> suggested writing an article for the local paper after they get the system up and running. <br /> There was a discussion on the tribal rights and how they do not want to abide by the <br /> town regulations. It was noted there are issues and are hoping to work together. <br /> IMA's with other towns: DRI Review: Update <br /> Andrew Gottlieb said the County changed the DRI to a consistency review to be <br /> adopted by the County Commissioners a couple of weeks ago and is waiting to be <br /> approved by the Assembly of Delegates. He had a discussion with the Falmouth's <br /> Water Quality Committee months ago and they ran thru their process and their Board of <br /> Selectmen authorized for them to begin negotiations with us on Waquoit Bay. <br /> Planning for sewers: connections with private sewers: Update <br /> No Update <br />
