Chamber will be kicking in the remaining of money to purchase two good size Norway <br /> Spruce. <br /> Joe Cummings stated Mary Waygan, Chair of the Planning Board, sent an email <br /> informing the Cape Cod Commission is coming to the Planning Board on June 20 at <br /> 6:00 p.m. to discuss the Cape Cod Commission Act, the Regional Policy Plan, the Local <br /> Comprehensive Plan and the Upcoming Traffic Study at the Mashpee Rotary. <br /> ACTION ITEMS UPDATE. <br /> Mashpee Greenway Re-design of and Funding for the Quashnet River Footbridge <br /> The Chair stated they found another location for the footbridge and they will have to go <br /> before Conservation Commission for approval. Tom Hoppensteadt stated the school <br /> department and the police department are generally against this. He said the <br /> Superintendent doesn't approve of the bridge for safety reasons. The Chair suggested <br /> passing this along to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Mashpee CWMP: <br /> DNR Estuary Restoration/Shellfish Propagation; No Update <br /> IMA's with other towns; DRI Review: No Update <br /> Planning for sewers, connections with private sewers: NO Update <br /> Mashpee Nutrient Control Bylaw; No Update on AG Approval <br /> Town-Wide Stormwater Management Plan (including Santuit Pond): No Update <br /> DNR and MEC (PALS) Pond & Estuary Water Quality Monitoring: No Update <br /> REPORTS <br /> Conservation Department Report: <br /> The Chair referred to an email from Katelyn Cadoret updating the Conservation <br /> Department: <br /> Herring Run Fish Ladder Improvements; Herring Count Program wI APCC: Update <br /> The Herring Count Program season is over, and it should be a manner year for the run for <br /> the Mashpee River; and the Quashnet River seemed to have an uptick in the number of <br /> herring as well. Santuit experienced issues early on in the season due to a blockage at <br /> the Sampson's Mills Culvert but it was addressed and seemed to be on par with other <br /> seasons for another large run size. Once all the data has been submitted and analyzed <br /> for 2018, she will share the information. <br />
