6 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 18, 2018 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Deliberations on Ma_y 2019 Project Proposals: (continued) <br /> Attaquin Park Basketball Court& Site Improvements: $123,500: <br /> Motion made by Mr. Harsch to approve the recommend to the May 2019 Special Town <br /> Meeting the Attaquin Park Basketball Court & Site Improvement project in the amount of <br /> $123,500 for Recreation purposes. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Halpern. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 8-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Gottlieb,yes Mrs. Thayer,yes Mr. Hyde,yes Mr. Halpern,yes <br /> Ms. Waygan,yes Mr. Pizzo,yes Mr. Harsch,yes Mr. Smith,yes <br /> Opposed, none <br /> Mash ce 150"' Anniversary: $100,000: <br /> Community Preservation Act funds may not be eligible for the Mashpee 150"' Anniversary <br /> project, as the project is not appropriating CPA funds for a building, structure, vessel, real <br /> property, document or artifact. The resource is not on the State Register of Historic Places, and <br /> CPA funds are required to be expended on the following action; acquisition,preservation, <br /> rehabilitation or restoration. <br /> It was agreed Town Counsel would be consulted with respect to this regard. <br /> A historic resource or document may include the historical booklet proposed for publishing. If <br /> the project is ineligible for CPA funding, there was consensus that other funding sources within <br /> the Town of Mashpee may have the ability to support this undertaking. The project was taken <br /> under advisement at this time. <br />
