The meeting attendees then unanimously urged Mr. <br /> Kuchar to work with concept pians B and C in his final recommendation for the study. <br /> Mr. Abbott announced that Mass Housing Partnership volunteered to help with drafting an RFP, <br /> Mr. Taylor explained that the study called for a final presentation to be made to the Affordable <br /> Housing Trust in a joint meeting with the Affordable Housing Committee. Selectman O'Hara <br /> and Mr, Taylor would work on scheduling a date. Mr. Kuchar recommended a final review of <br /> the report by the Affordable Housing Committee, issued the week after November 29, prior to <br /> the meeting, Mr. Kuchar reported that they would next be meeting with the Conservation <br /> Commission, the Town Planner, the fire department and other public agencies that are involved <br /> in an affordable housing development. <br /> Report on Joint Meeting & Land Transfer to Affordable Housing Trust-Mr. Taylor <br /> reported that the three parcels at 950 Falmouth Road and 209 Old Barnstable Road had been <br /> transferred to the Trust. A request to the Community Preservation Committee for a transfer of <br /> affordable housing funds would be submitted by the Trust, during the next round of applications. <br /> Regarding the drafting of the RFP, it was suggested that Laura Shufelt, of the Mass Housing <br /> Partnership, be invited to attend the next meeting. Mr. Abbott also suggested developing a <br /> public presentation for the community, regarding options for the site. There was discussion <br /> regarding RFPs for both sites, but it was expressed that there may not be support at this time for <br /> moving ahead with 209 Old Barnstable Road. Mr. Taylor and Selectman O'Hara were in <br /> agreement that success with 950 Falmouth Road would likely provide a favorable climate for <br /> proceeding with 209 Old Barnstable Road. Chairman Isbitz expressed concern about delays in <br /> the timeline to complete both projects using this approach. The Chair suggested developing a <br /> public process that included abutters and neighbors, and provided an opportunity for them to <br /> express their concerns about how the project might adversely affect them. If the process <br /> provided an opportunity for the developer and the Town to respectfully address their concerns, <br /> this might substantially reduce any neighborhood concern about 209 Old Barnstable Road, and <br /> allow for an earlier development of the site before 950 Falmouth Road was done. There was <br /> discussion regarding whether or not developers would pursue only one of the two sites. <br /> Selectman O'Hara indicated that he would reach out to concerned residents to continue the <br /> conversation. <br /> Main Street Village, 37 Center Street-Mr, Taylor reported that he would be speaking <br /> with Town Counsel on the following day. <br /> 243 Cotuit Road Proposal-There was no update but the Chair would reach out to Mr. <br /> Pena for more information. <br /> Charles Tuttle, Main Street Village Proposal-Mr. Taylor stated that the Affordable <br /> Housing Committee was advisory to the Board of Selectmen, and therefore, not able to send a <br /> letter without their consent. The request was added to the next Board of Selectmen meeting <br /> agenda. A vote had already been taken by the Committee to send a letter of support. There was <br /> consensus from the Committee to forward the letter drafted by the Chair to the Board of <br /> Selectmen <br /> 3 <br />
