York, Jr., Shellfish Constable t�'.4LI,� , <br /> Date; March 26, 1.997 <br /> Re: Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council request for a <br /> new Shellfish Grant site and renewal of existing Grant <br /> The map of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council's <br /> requested new 8 acre Shellfish Grant site north of Little Thatch <br /> Island and existing 4.6 acre Grant at Punkhorn Point is attached. <br /> Also attached is a photograph of lower Popponesset Bay with the <br /> new site outlined in white. According to MGL Ch. 130 we have 60 <br /> days from receipt of the letter of request to hold the hearing. The <br /> hearing must be advertised 10 days in advance of the hearing. <br /> The Hearing Notice: <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> Public Hearing Notice <br /> Pursuant to Chapter 130 of Massachusetts General Laws, The <br /> Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council has requested renewal of <br /> the 4.6 acre Shellfish Grant at Punkhorn Point in Popponesset Bay <br /> and a new 8 acre Shellfish Grant north of Little Thatch Island in <br /> Popponesset Bay. A map of the existing and proposed areas is on file <br /> at the Selectmen, Town Clerk, and Shellfish Department Offices.
