t <br /> The Agent gave ars update on the structures that were removed from the santuit fond <br /> Preserve and Besse Bog. He noted DPW dismantled and removed an old storage shed <br /> at Besse Bog and also the old garage at Santuit Pond was removed. The plan is to <br /> seed the area with wildflower which will be done this corning spring. <br /> HEARINGS: <br /> 6:00 Lloyd and Lois Glazer, 205 Uncle Percy's load. Proposed removal and <br /> replacement of additions and garage onto existing dwelling and tree removal. At <br /> request of engineer continued from 1/1212017. <br /> Table until consultant arrives. <br /> 6:03 Gooseberry Island Trust, 0 Gooseberry Island. Request confirmation of <br /> existing resource area delineation. At request of Attorney Brian Wall, continued <br /> from 1/12/2017 to allow time to submit revised plans. <br /> The,Agent informed the Commission that he has received a request from the applicant <br /> to continue the hearing to 2!9/2017. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to continue the hearing at the applicant's request to <br /> 2/9/2017 at 6:09 p.m. seconded by Mr. Anderson. vote 6-0 <br /> Rebekah Saiguero, Counsel for the Maslipee Wampanoag Tribal Gaming Authority, <br /> requested the commissioners allow her and others to speak on behalf of the Tribe <br /> regarding the Gooseberry Island hearing. <br /> The Agent said the commissioners can entertain comments but would recommend not <br /> getting into any debate at this point because the applicants are not present. <br /> Atty. Salguero introduced the Vice Chairman of the I ashpee Wampanoag Tribe. ,Jesse <br /> `little doe's Baird. She said she was here to object to the applicant's request for an RDA <br /> because it is another attempt by the applicant to facilitate construction on Gooseberry <br /> Island. This will impact the shellfish beds and aquaculture activities and also threatens <br /> the coast line as a whole. She said the Tribe exercises their rights on Pun horn over <br /> shellfish license issued in 1977 and until 2027. She noted the farm serves as a point of <br /> employment for the Tribes citizens and wants to make sure their legal rights are <br /> protected. She said the Tribe has once again engaged an environmental consultant to <br /> review the documentation and based on the findings we respectfully ask that in the <br /> future the commissioners deny the request. She thanked the commissioners the <br /> opportunity to spear. she expressed her concern that the applicants were allowed to <br /> continue the hearing once again and noted she didn't see in the regulations were <br /> continuances after continuances of conservation hearings were allowed. <br /> Amy Ball, consultant from Horsley and Witten, spoke about their letter submitted to the <br /> Commission expressing concern about the project, In addition to the 21 day time frame <br /> for this RDA, they have some concerns with the applicants coning forward with a neer <br /> RCCA. <br />
