Wayne Tavares, Wet Tech Land Design, represented the applicants. The proposed <br /> project is the construction of a pool, patio and retaining galls. The pool will sit at the <br /> sane plain as the patio and will be encompassed by the retaining walls. Project is <br /> outside of the 50' Buffer zone. He referred to the mitigation plan. There are three large <br /> oak trees that need to come down and will be adding the planting of 2 cedar trees. <br /> They added dryells and additional plantings for aesthetic purposes. <br /> The Agent shored some photos of the site and noted the trees to be removed. He <br /> noted the added mitigation will enhance the buffer zone and the re-establishment of <br /> any disturbed lawn areas must adhere to the Ch. +172 lawn standards. The current bulkhead is failing. The <br /> Agent shored some pictures of the existing bulkhead going out and significant loss of <br /> salt marsh adjacent to one side of the bullhead. He asked hover the homeowner was <br /> going to address this issue of saltmarsh erosion around the existing bullhead. Mr, <br /> Kanter stated that the area would be filled in with sand. The Agent stated that salt <br /> marsh cannot be filled in with sand and the applicant must provide more specific <br /> information to the Commission about this part of the project before the Commissioners <br /> can male a ruling. Following a discussion, the Agent recommended a positive <br /> determination, requiring the submission of a Notice of Intent with engineering plans. <br /> There was also a discussion on the condition of the pilings. It was noted the applicant <br /> needs to submit a more detailed engineering plan to include details on bullhead repair, <br /> impacts to salt marsh, any possible mitigation and construction/design; methodology. <br /> No comments from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved a Positive Determination, seconded by Mr. Shaw. <br /> Vote 4-0 <br /> 6:27 Nathan S.
