He stated it <br /> makes sense to remove the trees encroaching on the pathway or prune there back but it <br /> doesn't male sense to remove the trees further back from the pathway. He described the <br /> proposed project Was to install access steps on each side of the [a'ndward portion of the <br /> existing dock for public access below mean high water to allow for shoreline access for <br /> fishing and fowling purposes pursuant to chapter 91 regulations. Nests will consist of <br /> four 4' by 4' posts and the access stairs will be constructed by hand. He noted the pier} <br /> ramp and float structures were legally permitted (Waterways License No. 3431, Order of <br /> Conditions, SE 43-905, issued 7-23-90, amended 1-8--91 and a certificate of compliance <br /> was issued on 8-12-92, They are seeping a Chapter 91 License to retain and maintain <br /> existing pier, ramp and floats structure. <br /> The Agent noted it is a chapter 91 requirement for public access to navigate the <br /> shoreline between mean high and mean low. He noted the harbormaster has no <br /> problems and endorses the project. <br />
