Nol <br /> Resource Area: LSCSF <br /> Matt Costa, Cape & Island Engineering, represented the applicants. He explained the <br /> proposed project is to raze the existing single family home, construct a new single family <br /> dwelling, deck, new shed and grading and landscaping. Drywells for roof runoff will be <br /> installed. The property is not within buffer zones to any wetland resource areas. The <br /> limit of work will consist of a sediment stop or compost roll with silt fencing backing and <br /> will be maintained throughout the construction phase. He stated the project meets the <br /> performance standards. The Agent was concerned with the removal of 8 trees along the <br /> front of the property. He stated these pitch pines are valuable to wildlife habitat. Mr. <br /> Costa stated he would submit a reprised plan after talking with the applicants regarding <br /> the trees and corse to a balance to keep some of these trees. The Agent recommended <br /> a condition to come to a reasonable compromise regarding the trees, <br /> No comments from the public <br /> Motion: Nor. Sweet moved to Close and Issue with the condition the Agent is . <br /> satisfied with the compromise regarding the trees, Mr. Smith seconded the motion.* <br /> Vote -0 - <br /> 6:21 Robert W, and Susan M. Hughes, 2 shore Drive. Proposed <br /> demolition/rebuild of single-family dwelling and garage. NO] <br /> Resource Area: LSCSF, Buffer Zone, BVW, salt Marsh, Land Under ocean, <br /> Popponesset creek <br /> Torn Bunker, BSS Design, represented the applicant. He explained the proposed <br /> project was to raze and rebuild the house and the garage. He illustrated the project on <br /> the plan and noted the mitigation plan. He noted where the stone path will be installed. <br /> There is a 12 inch pitch pine on the water side of the house that is marked for removal <br /> which is infested with beetles. The existing septic system is still functioning but the <br /> house that is to be built has 6 bedrooms so a new system must be installed. The new <br /> system will be further from all resource areas. Prior to the start of construction the limit <br /> of work will be delineated with stared straw bales or silt fence on the uphill side of all the <br /> trees to be preserved. The Agent illustrated the staking in the lawn showing existing <br /> condition and proposed which is upside of the 50' buffer, He noted some of the removal <br /> of turf will be a benefit in reducing nitrogen loading. Any areas of new lawn or restored <br /> lawn would have to fall under our lawn standards which will be a condition in the permit. <br /> Inc stated the project meets the performance standards} no impact to the BVW or salt <br /> marsh and recommended a Close and Issue. <br /> No comments from the public <br />
