D 15 M S 51 <br /> In other business,Jim UHara of the Mashpee Messenger suggested <br /> the Board announce the monetary figures amounts as they appear on the <br /> Annual Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Tom Fudala,the Town Planner indicated that his office has recently <br /> completed the second element of the Local Comprehensive Plan. In <br /> addition to the Affordable Housing element,the Public Safety element <br /> has been completed. with thirteen supplementary elements,the Plan <br /> remains on schedule informed Mr.Fudala. <br /> Mr. and Mrs.Peter Laue addressed concerns to the Board of Selectmen <br /> with respect to the lot they purchased last year located on Pond view Drive, <br /> Winslow Farms,Mashpee. <br /> Mrs.Laue indicated that on February 7, 1995 she signed an offer to <br /> i purchase the lot at the above location subject to the purchase contingency <br /> that the lot was determined buildable by the Town of Mashpee, <br /> Mrs.Laue received formal notification from the Building Inspector granting <br /> approval on February 13, 1995 subject to the agreement of the Health <br /> Department and Conservation Commission. A building permit was issued <br /> to the Laue's on October 4, 1995 without appropriate sign off. <br /> Subsequently,the Conservation Commission has issued a stop work order <br /> because the lot is located in an area where wetlands are a concern. <br /> Conservation Commission member,George Green was present to discuss <br /> this matter,with the Laue's and Board of Selectmen. Mr. Green indicated <br /> that the Commission is concerned with two main issues. It was noted that <br /> brush has been disposed of over a bank in a wetland area and a pipe is <br /> carrying water from the front of the property to the open space wetland area. <br /> This is causing serious erosion problems indicated Mr. Green. _ <br /> Mr.Green offered to assist the Laue's with the required filing and related <br /> clean-up process to obtain the appropriate sign off to resume building. <br /> It was noted that the Board of Selectmen by statute,do not have jurisdiction <br /> over this matter. Selectman Caffyn suggested to request the Conservation <br /> Commission waive permitting and filing fees. <br /> Mr.Whritenour indicated that in the future,building permits will not be <br /> issued without appropriate regulatory approval. <br />
