It is <br /> has been deemed permissible under the discretion of the Board of <br /> Selectmen informed Mr.Whritenour. <br /> It was noted that officer Todino has six years,and six months prior <br /> police experience with his most recent employer, Babson College <br /> Department of Public Safety as a Campus Police officer. <br /> Article XXH- Credit for Service on other Police Department states: <br /> In order than an officer might quality for such a credit, he must have served <br /> in good standing continuously for a period of at least five (5)years as a <br /> full-time regular police officer with any police department in any other <br /> municipality,county or state. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Dinizio to approve the request <br /> to credit Police officer Albert Todino for previous experience. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. <br /> T E: 2-2. <br /> Motion fails. <br /> Selectman Costa, Selectman Caffyn in opposition. <br /> Follow-up Discussion -Warrant ud et: <br /> Police Chief- Articles 12- 15: <br /> Article#12: To see if the Town will hire and equip (3) additional <br /> full-time police officers. Grant funding will provide 75% of the (3) <br /> officers salaries over a three year period. <br /> Chief Przybylek recommended the Board place Article#12 on the <br /> Annual Town Meetin cr Warrant, and delay implementation until <br /> January 1, 1997. <br /> The town will save approximately$24,800 if implementation is delayed. <br /> It was noted that the town is not obligated to maintain the above positions <br /> after the three year period. <br /> All positions are contingent upon receipt of the federal grant. <br /> Selectman Caffyn suggested to schedule as a future agenda item, the <br /> discussion of crime prevention. <br />
