The Agent stated the reason he made the suggestion to move the plantings is the
suggested area would be better suited to provide a better buffer and get rid of the lawn
in very close proximity to the salt marsh where on the other side there is already a robust
buffer. He requested that Mr. Costa provide a revised plan showing this change. He
also commented he agreed with the waiver request and that the mitigation more than
compensates for any adverse impact as a result of the bump out. The Agent reviewed
the areas on photos.
No comments from the public
Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to Close and Issue with the condition the applicant
provides a revised plan as per the Agent's comments, seconded by Mr. Shaw.
Vote unanimous 5-0
Mr. O'Neill returned to the Board
6:21 John R. & Bonnie J. The project will result in an improvement in the reduction of the lawn
and crushed stone driveway area and the project will include long term mitigating
measures. He said the applicant meets the waiver requirements which will result in
improving the resource areas.
The Agent stated the request was reasonable particularly where there was a garage
once at that location. He recommended a Close and Issue
No comment from the public
Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to Close and Issue, seconded by Mr. Shaw. Vote
unanimous 6-0
6:24 Timothy J. & Maria E. The project
consists of construction and maintenance of a detached garage, removal of seven trees,
mitigation plantings and grading and landscaping.
The Agent asked about the removal of the trees. Mr. Costa stated the driveway will be
reconfigured for a two car garage. Mr. Costa explained the reason for the removal of the
6
