10 Board of Selectmen Minutes March 27, 2017 APPOINTMENTS& HEARINGS Discussion of Ouinaquisset Avenue road closure/detour: (continued) It was agreed the reverse 911 system would be utilized to adequately notify residents. In addition to added signage announcing the closure,the information would be printed in the local newspaper. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Quinaquisset Avenue Road Closure/Detour from Monday,April 17,2017 through Friday,April 21,2017 as referenced. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed,none Discussion of pMposed FY 2018 Transfer Station Permit Fees: Following the direction of the Board of Selectmen in working towards self-sufficiency, a subcommittee comprised of Selectman O'Hara,DPW Director Catherine Laurent and Wayne Taylor,the Assistant Town Manager reviewed permit fees associated to the use of the Transfer Station. Input related to the fee structure was also obtained from the Solid Waste Committee. A revised fee schedule for the fiscal year 2018 budget was presented to the Board for review. It was noted the Town of Mashpee fees as proposed for the Transfer Station are reasonable, and many costs are below the rates of comparable towns. No capital costs are included in this assumption. I't Household Permit: $140 Recycling Permit: $ 25 2"Permit: $ 20 Single Trip: $ 15 Tax Subsidy: 12% Antifreeze: $1.50 per gallon Mattresses: $12 Tires: $ 2-$15 each CRT's: $10-$50 each Refrigerators/AC's $10 Propane Tanks: $2<20 lb- $10>20 lb Furniture: $2 wood chair/small table $5 large wood table/dresser, etc. $5 upholstered chair $10 couch $15 couch w/pullout bed All other items such as rechargeable batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, books,textiles,car batteries, waste oil (gallons), and oil filters(drums)have no Transfer Station gate fees.
