The future <br /> legal ramifications would drown Mashpee in a' sea of <br /> litigation. <br /> Q: What would Fields Point ideally like to have? <br /> A: Mixed use : Both commercial and residential uses . <br /> This has already been tried in the past . Today, it is known <br /> as Downtown Brockton. Is this what Mashpee wants? <br /> Page Two <br /> Issue: Potential Impact of commons on Mashpee River <br /> Solution: Worry about it later <br /> Issuezc Economic impact on the community <br /> Solution: Worry about it later <br /> Issue: Is Fields Point to build/subdivide or both? <br /> Solution: Both <br /> In the event of detremental economic/environmental impact <br /> on Mashpee as a community, who will be held accountable? <br /> Multiple owners , multiple developers will hinder Mashpee ' s <br /> abiltity to address these vital issues . <br /> Issue: Traffic <br /> Solution: All development will impact traffic <br /> One owner is much easier to deal with than several with <br /> their own interests and pocketbooks to consider. <br /> Issue: Waste water treatment plant <br /> Solution: Current facility i s sufficient for now- will need to be <br /> addressed as development occurs , i . e. , worry about it later. <br /> In prudence, all of these concerns must be addressed before <br /> there is any thought of changing current zoning laws . <br /> s <br />
