Landfill <br /> Dear Members of the Board: <br /> Please add our names to the list of residents who are very upset about the <br /> placement of that ugly, rusted out, "Quonset hut" structure at the Mashpee Disposal <br /> Area. It certainly belongs in one, but not ours. Now we have the dubious pleasure of <br /> having one at EACH end of Meetinghouse Road. <br /> we think that the idea of a "swap shop" at the landfill is good, but, to allow that.. <br /> THING anywhere in Mashpee is simply unforgivable. There are enough residents here <br /> who would be (have been) more than willing to go down there and donate time to pound <br /> some nails, drill some holes, run some wires; whatever -- and build something attractive. <br /> Here we are, top taxpayers on Cape Cod, without even Town refuse pick-up, and <br /> we have to see that JUA when we take our own trash to the Transfer Station. Tell Otis <br /> to take it back and dispose of it properly. <br /> We request that this letter be read aloud and into the record at the next <br /> Selectmen's meeting by the Executive Secretary; or that we be allowed to do so ourselves. <br /> Sincerely yours, <br /> Andrew & Mathilde Elias on <br />
