4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 11, 2019 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Change Order#7 Quashnet School Project: <br /> Change Order No. 7, a credit of$5,013.23 was presented to the Board for approval. With <br /> Change Orders No. 1-7, and other miscellaneous construction costs, approximately 46% of the <br /> contingency budget has been expended. <br /> The remaining punch list items are expected to be completed by March 31, 2019. Acceptance of <br /> this change order will allow for final completion of the project to begin closeout with the MSBA. <br /> Final figures have not been secured,but it is anticipated the project will come in well under <br /> budget projections. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve Change Order#7, a credit of$5,013.23 <br /> associated to the Quashnet School construction project. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> Request to Deficit Spend— Snow and Ice Account: <br /> The DPW has expended approximately 70% of the annual $116,570 Snow& Ice budget nearly <br /> depleting the salt delivery. Additional salt is being ordered this week for the treatment of future <br /> storm events. It is anticipated that all funds would be utilized in the Snow& Ice budget for this <br /> fiscal year. Without approval,there would be no response to future storms. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to allow the DPW to deficit spend the Snow & Ice <br /> Account as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br />
