Regarding other iters, Perm said that new signs were installed at the Mashpee Neck Boat Ramp
notifying users about "leo Fish Cleaning's and"5-Minute Tie-Up only." He also said that the
waiting list for boat moorings in Mashpee was now greater than boo people. Forty to forty-five
people are gaiting for Mashpee River moorings. Shellfish Constable Report—Rick York 7 Rick was unable to make the meeting but did speak
with,Tire Hanks who reported in his absence. Rick has obtained 2 million quahog seed and 1
million scallop seed, both one-half inch in size. They will be seeded if the hurricane is going to hit
our area, but he would rather wait until they are one inch in diameter. The family area b
Seconsett Causeway is still producing quahogs in spite of heavy shellfrshing activity this summer.
Water quality is bad as a-coli bacteria levels were high recently in the Mashpee River, Sa.ntuit
River and Shoestring Bay. These areas are closed to shellfishing as are the north end of Hamblin
Pond and Sage Lot Pond in the Waquoit area. The state will re-check the water quality on
September P.
.
