Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 17, 2019 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Request for Modification of Entertainment License: <br /> Poet's Pub, Inc. d/b/a Bobby Byrne's Pub: Jeffrey Moore, Ryan Lariviere: <br /> The Board of Selectmen opened the Public Hearing and read aloud the notice to continue the modification to the <br /> Entertainment License of Poet's Pub, Inc. d/b/a Bobby Byrne's Pub, Robert Byrne, Manager, 6 Central Square, <br /> Mashpee. <br /> Representing Bobby Byrne's Pub was Jeffrey Moore and Ryan Olivier to request live music, consisting of a solo <br /> acoustic performer with a small amplified microphone on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. <br /> (Modified from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) The current license for Poet's Pub, Inc. d/b/a Bobby Byrne's Pub is for <br /> weekday; canned with restrictions TV and/or recorded music. <br /> Mary Derr, the Marketing Director for Mashpee Commons was noted to be in agreement with the proposal and <br /> for the sole musician to provide acoustic performance by microphone outside of the dining space in an enclosed <br /> area. This would co-inside with entertainment provided by Mashpee Commons. <br /> Being no public comment, the Board motioned as follows; <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> A brief discussion followed. It was noted the applicant has been considering the offering of outdoor <br /> entertainment for several months. No musical instruments will be amplified, mike amplification only. The <br /> Board of Selectmen agreed that outdoor entertainment applications would be considered individually on their <br /> own merit. If there is an issue with this type of outdoor entertainment in Mashpee Commons, the Board agreed <br /> to revisit this matter. The outdoor entertainment shall conform to the Town's Bylaw ceasing at 10:00 p.m. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the application of Poet's Pub, Inc. d/b/a Bobby Byrne's <br /> Pub, Robert Byrne, Manager for a modification to the Entertainment License to allow live music every <br /> Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. consisting of a sole acoustic performer with a small amplifier for <br /> microphone. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> 4 <br />
