Board of Selectmen Minutes July 8, 2019 Discussion Approval and Ratification of the Dispatch Agreement with the Barnstable County Sheriff's Department: Fire Chief Thomas Rullo: Fire Chief Thomas C. Rullo presented the proposed Barnstable County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) Dispatch Contract for mutual responsibilities of the BCSO and the Town of Mashpee in the cooperative operation of a primary fire department dispatch system with the Town of Mashpee from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. The combined fee for Fire Dispatch and CMED services for fiscal year 2020 is $118,753.45. This represents 14% increase from FYI 9. Discussion followed regarding the renewal of the contractual agreement and associated costs to the Town of Mashpee. Motion made by Selectman Cotton to request the Town Manager and Fire Chief to evaluate options relative to Fire Department dispatch, and further to invite the Sheriff and/or Deputy Sheriff to attend the next meeting to continue discussions regarding dispatch. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Assembly of Delegates—Charter Review: The Assembly of Delegates is conducting a Charter Review. Proposed changes may be directed to Mashpee's delegate, Selectman Thomas F. O'Hara. NEW BUSINESS Discussion and Approval of Appointment to the Council on Aging (Term to Expire June 30 2022): Rachel Hodgman: The above referenced agenda topic has been deferred to July 22, 2019 as the candidate Rachel Hodgman was unavailable to attend this meeting. 9
