"Proposals are to construct a new <br /> building. " <br /> LANDFILL RE-BID - Mr. Doherty stepped down from this issue <br /> as he found it to be a conflict of interest. <br /> lkG <br /> Mr, scipione informed the Board tie documents •have been <br /> updated t6 Meet new regulations. "We are - requesting this <br /> Boardfs opinion as to what recycling alternates should be in- <br /> cluded in the bi : specs as there is the regional. ` recycling <br /> package currently. being considred. 1' <br /> d <br /> Mr, Greelish responded, he would recommend the recycling <br /> and gateeeping options remain as they are. j <br /> r <br /> Dowd members agreed. <br /> Mr. McQuaid recommended the Board omit the fill option.. <br /> Board members agreed the fill option is no . longer ap- <br /> plicable. <br /> Mr. Gr elfish recommended including employee training ':n <br /> the recycling alternative. <br /> Mr. Soipione commented D. .P# does hoed seminars on re- <br /> cycling from time to time, "I would. recommend inserting a <br /> phrase such as,, "a person employed at the site shall be <br /> knowledgeable in solid waste matters, recycling, etc, " , and <br /> ask them to submit a program which requires attendance at <br /> certain number of seminars. " <br /> Mr, Costa recommended inserting a clause. which states <br /> the contractor shall be knowledgeable with landfill op- <br /> erations. <br /> Mr. Soipione stated he would research as to whether a <br /> clause referring to the age of equipment could be inserted in <br /> the bid specs. <br />
