MINUTES April 9, 199 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Discussion took place in regards to extending the length <br /> of the contract. lir. Scipione informed the Board contracts <br /> extending beyond three years must be presented before the <br /> State Emergency Finance Board for approval . "I will consult <br /> with the Finance Board to discuss the possibility of extend- <br /> ing the contract beyond. three years- and forward our recom- <br /> mendations to this Board. " <br /> Board members agreed they will review the preliminary <br /> bids specs with copies forwarded to Iowan Counsel and the Ex- <br /> ecutive Secretary for Comments. <br /> Mr. Scipione stated he will provide bid specs within the <br /> next two weeks. <br /> Hr. McQuaid questioned whether a clause should be in- <br /> cluded regarding maintenance and inspection of the lagoons. <br /> Mr. Scipione responded, lagoons can be rotated every six <br /> months. "It is not the contractor's responsibility as he <br /> cannot control the influx of wastewater. " <br /> HYDROGEOLOGICAL WORK <br /> r. Sciplo a informed the .
