The major process components are: <br /> Preliminary Treatment <br /> Secondary/Tertiary Treatment <br /> Disinfection <br /> Effluent Recharge <br /> Biosolids <br /> They have proposed a robust odor control system and noise control. <br /> -Tom Fudala mentioned that we're going above and beyond with the odor/noise control compared to <br /> other plants in Mashpee. <br /> Chemicals to be used are: <br /> Sodium Hypochlorite <br /> Citric Acid <br /> Supplemental Carbon <br /> Sodium Hydroxide <br /> 3 components of Capital Costs(Millions of U.S. Dollars) <br /> Collection System: 33.3 <br /> Treatment Facility: 16.7 <br /> Recharge Facility: 1.2 <br /> Total: 51.2 (based on an ENR of July 2019) <br /> Schedule: <br /> Sewer Commission reviews GHD design drawings and provides comments to GHD 10/2019 <br /> Review Package submitted to VE team 11/15/19 <br /> VE Review 11/2019 <br /> GHD prepares VE Engineering Review Memo 12/2019, (Tom Fudala commented at that point GHD will <br /> be done with their contract.) <br /> Tom Fudala pointed out the numbers for Phase 1 in 2015 were significantly lower than what we see <br /> now, about 2 million of the costs are because of additional odor control and other special things we're <br /> doing to reduce any conceptual impact on the neighbors.The groundwater sampling was done on this <br /> site in 2011 with the permission of the Board of Selectmen.They've been involved since about 9 years <br /> ago. For those that ask why not in an industrial zone,the Town of Mashpee does not own a single piece <br /> of industrial zone property.
