11 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> June 20, 2019 <br /> COMMUNICATION & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> David Weeden Mashpee Parsonage Project—Matching Fund Grant Application; Request for <br /> Award Letter and Supplemental Documentation from CPC confirming the Commitment of <br /> Matching Funds: (continued) <br /> It was disclosed the Community Preservation Committee voted to recommend the Mashpee <br /> Parsonage Restoration Project in the amount of$400,000. The appropriation was approved by a <br /> vote of Town Meeting on May 6, 2019 contingent upon prior execution of a Memorandum of <br /> Understanding between the fund recipient and the Board of Selectmen establishing milestones <br /> for full Project funding, and a schedule for release of the subject appropriated CPA funds, <br /> subject to the recording of a Preservation Restriction. <br /> Mr. Weeden indicated he is aware the MOU is a requirement of the Board of Selectmen for the <br /> appropriation of Community Preservation Act funding. As discussion continued,the <br /> Community Preservation Committee was supportive of the grant award and requested match in <br /> funds. It was thus determined the MOU would be split for the sole purpose of moving the <br /> $30,000 in match funding forward. <br /> For timely response, it was agreed the CPC would request the matter of the MOU be placed on <br /> the agenda of the Board of Selectmen on July 8, 2019. <br /> Motion made by Ms. Waygan to agree with (2) Memorandum's of Understanding for the <br /> Restoration of the Parsonage project and authorize the CPC Chair to execute the draft <br /> letter to the Mass Cultural Council utilizing the template format indicating that CPA <br /> funding is subject to the MOU with $30,000 in CPA Matching Funds being held under the <br /> care and custody of the Finance Director. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Halpern. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 6-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Gottlieb,yes Mrs. Thayer,yes Mr. Halpern,yes Mr. Larkin,yes <br /> Ms. Waygan,yes Mr. Harsch,yes Opposed, none <br />
