9 Board of Selectmen Minutes November 18, 2019 Sewer Commission-, Precinct 2 (Term Expires: June 30, 2022): Anne Malone: At their meeting of November 7, 2019 the Sewer Commission voted unanimously to recommend the appointment of Anne Malone to the Sewer Commission as a Precinct 2 representative. Ms. Malone is a retired professional executive and is interested in contributing to the Town of Mashpee. Wastewater management and environmental stewardship is the most pressing issue facing the Town. Ms. Malone's experience includes working with non-profit organizations with roles in communications and public relations. Ms. Malone does not have a direct background in this field, but she is a good study and is impressed with the experience of the present Board of Sewer Commissioners. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to appoint Anne Malone to the Sewer Commission representing Precinct 2 for a term to expire; June 30, 2022. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none Capital Improvement Program Committee; Member-at-Large (Term Expires: June 30 2020): Edmund Sarno: Edmund Sarno was in attendance to discuss his interest in serving on the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee. Mr. Sarno has a background in technical sales and marketing including the management of corporate budgets. Mr. Sarno holds a degree in Business Administration. Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to appoint Edmund Sarno to the Capital Improvement Committee for a term to expire; June 30,2020. Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none Discussion and Approval of the Following Special Events: Mary Lou Palumbo, Mashpee Chamber of Commerce: Annual Holiday Parade; December 7 2019, 5:30—7 pm; Deer Crossing, Route 28 & Mashpee Commons: Annual Season of Illumination• November 29, 2019 through January 1, 2020, Mashpee Rotary Special Event Applications were before the Board from the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce for the Annual Holiday Parade and Season of Illumination. Mary Lou Palumbo, Executive Director of the Chamber was in attendance to review the special events planned over the holiday. The Season of Illumination will begin with the lighting of the Mashpee Rotary on Friday,November 29, 2019. The lights will remain until Wednesday, January 1, 2019. The Annual Holiday Parade is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Deer Crossing,traveling along Route 28, ending at the Mashpee Commons.
