10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 18, 2019 <br /> Annual Holiday Parade-, December 7 2019 5.30—7 pm; Deer Crossing, Route 28 &Mashpee Commons: <br /> Annual Season of Illumination• November 29 2019 through January 1, 2020; Mashpee Rotary: (continued) <br /> The application requires a road closure of Route 28 from Deer Crossing to the Rotary and Jobs Fishing <br /> Road. Police Offices will be assigned for this event. <br /> Ms. Palumbo expressed appreciation to the Town of Mashpee, the residents and the businesses that have <br /> supported this annual event for the community. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the Special Event Applications of the Mashpee <br /> Chamber of Commerce for the Annual Holiday Parade and Season of Illumination. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> Recognition of Shellfish Constable Ashley Fisher: <br /> Ashley Fisher, Shellfish Constable was recognized by the Board of Selectmen for her actions with respect <br /> to the observance of suspicious activity that lead a shellfish license revocation. This matter was brought to <br /> the attention of the Board of Selectmen and then forwarded to the State level of enforcement. As a result of <br /> illegal actions the State revolted the individual's license and issued a lifetime ban for the taking of shellfish. <br /> Ms. Fisher's actions exemplified her courage and attentiveness as a distinguished Mashpee employee. <br /> Presentation of Fiscal Year 2021 Department Budget Requests. <br /> The Board of Selectmen received their budget packet for Fiscal Year 2021. Any questions based on their <br /> initial review should be deferred to Town Manager Rodney C. Collins. It was recommended the Town <br /> Manager bring forth a schedule of Departmental Budget Meetings Board in accordance with the <br /> assignments consistent the Board of Selectmen Liaison List. Meetings are anticipated to begin in early <br /> December. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Board of Selectmen January—June Meeting Calendar: <br /> A proposed meeting schedule was presented to the Board of Selectmen from January through June, 2020 <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to adopt the Board of Selectmen Meeting Schedule from <br /> January through June,2020 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br />
