Ms. <br /> Laurent indicated she would meet with the roof service providers to ensure the warranties on the <br /> roofs are recognized. With respect to scheduling, the installation at the schools would require <br /> flexibility to not impact the use of the school properties while schools are in session. With <br /> regards to safety as it relates to the storage cells in proximity to the schools, the project requires <br /> building and electrical permitting, and inspections conducted by the Fire Department. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to authorize Cape & Vineyard Electric Cooperative <br /> (CVEC) Round 5 PV/Storage Initiative to enter into a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement <br /> with Distributed Solar Development (DSD)for the installation of the following; <br /> A solar canopy a the Mashpee Middle/High School with battery storage <br /> A solar canopy and roof-mounted system at the Quasnet School <br /> A solar canopy and roof-mounted system at the KC Coombs School. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Weeden. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Approval of Year Two of the Following Annual Contracts: <br /> Trash/Recycling Services—Cavossa Disposal: <br /> Portable Toilets—Pina Sajje Sanitation: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met with Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works to review <br /> recommendations for the award of annual contracts for trash/recycling services and the rental of <br /> portable toilets. The contracts are for year round trash/recycling services for the various Town <br /> buildings including schools, and the rental of portable restroom facilities for seasonal properties, <br /> and for special events. This is the second year of a two-year bid proposed for calendar year <br /> 2020. <br /> It is recommended the Board extend the annual contract for Trash/Recycling Services to <br /> Cavossa Disposal and the Rental of Portable Toilets to Pina Sajje Sanitation. Through the <br /> competitive bid process, the Town secures the best rate for services. There have not been any <br /> issues of concern with the recommended firms. <br /> The current contracts are due to expire on December 31, 2019. Information regarding the bid <br /> quotations was outlined in a memorandum addressed to the Board dated November 21, 2019. <br />
