(Rescheduled from March 25,2020).
Mr. Randy Agnew represented himself for the sign project. He said there was an existing
sign in front of his building from the former owners, and he will be replacing it in almost
the same footprint, and will be constructed with his business name and logo. The sign will
be made out of white azek material and designed by the Day Sign Company here in
Mashpee. The size of the sign is just about 27 sq. ft.
Mr.Furbush read the Design Review meeting minutes of the sign project that was presented
at the Design Review Committee back on March 3, 2020.
Randy said he noticed that there are other signs in the area that are larger in size than what
he will have constructed. It will be hand carved out of nice solid wood and not any larger
than what existed prior. Randy said there are several signs that are larger located on
Industry Drive. Mr. Goldstein has been in that neighborhood and noticed there are much
larger signs. He wanted to know if the previous sign was approved. Scott does not have an
issue.
Mr. Blaisdell asked if the Design Review recommended approval. Mr. Furbush said; yes
but he wanted to get information on other sizes of signs in that area.
Mr. Bonvie asked if the sign will have lights, and if there were lights on the previous sign.
Mr. Agnew said yes; and he would like to replace the lights with very small fixtures that
shine directly onto the sign.
Mr. Joao Junqueira with Cape Wide Construction called into the meeting. He was the
former owner of the building and said he received approval from the ZBA for his sign.
3
