Status of Sterns & Wheler/GHD: Subsurface Archeological Investigation <br /> Work has begun at the Transfer Station. Mr.Klenert questioned the length of the certification and the <br /> Chair responded that it will be valid for a long time. <br /> New Developments/Existing Development Requiring Wastewater Treatment Plants <br /> The Breezy Acres expansion to be developed by Housing Assistance Corporation has been delayed due <br /> to the expense of tying into the high school's wastewater system. Mashpee has requested a fee that <br /> matches the amount charged by Mashpee Commons for the Police/Fire Complex. Negotiations have <br /> occurred identify a way to make it work through capital costs. The Sewer Commission has not been <br /> consulted on the issue. <br /> Falmouth Issues <br /> Jerry Potamis referenced Falmouth's recently released financial plan, highlighting the importance of <br /> informing the public about costs. Mr. Potamis added that Regina Villa has innovative ideas. Falmouth <br /> Town Meeting is considering three special articles regarding the betterment law, divorcing the <br /> betterment period from the bonding period and a change to principal declines to provide a better <br /> financial interest. Mr. Potamis recommended that Peter Boyer from Falmouth be invited to address the <br /> Commission about financial planning. Mr. Potamis recommended reviewing the Barnstable County <br /> costs. Chairman Fudala suggested that it was premature to discuss financing. <br /> MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> The next meeting will be Tuesday, August 24 at 7 p.m_ <br /> A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mr.Lyons. Mr.Kaplan seconded the motion. All <br /> voted unanimously.
