Andrew Gottlieb, Chairman
Board of Selectmen
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee,UN 02649
Noelle Pina
iviashpee,MA 02649
June 6,2020
Dear Board of Selectmen.,
Earlier this week I indicated my interest in joining the Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee to
Town Planner,Evan Lehrer. He is aware of my interest in advancing housing stock on Cape Cod as
we are both on the CCYP Public Policy Committee and we have crossed each other's paths at HAC
conferences. At CCYP we have adopted housing and child care as the two area's of focus for the
public policy conu-nittee. Housing has been of particular interest for several years. Some of out work
includes publishing a position statement for the organization in regards to housing challenges and
realigning some of their programming to focus on local housing needs.
0--
Before my work began at CCYP I learned about the housing crisis in my role at the Orleans
Chamber. Every April and May we have people who contact us looking for, housing due to losing
their winter rental. It was surprising to me back in 2014 and it motivated me to learn more about
what is needed to make a difference and to act on opportunities presented to the Chamber to
advocate for more housing. We have educated our members about zoning changes, supported out
local non-profits who work in housing and invited selectmen to speak about housing needs at out
annual meeting.
I am interested in joining the Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee. So far I have been
interviewed by chair Allan Isbitz and I look forward to the opportunity to join and serve my
community in this capacity.
Kind regards,
Noelle Pina
