Hello, My name is John O'Connor and I have had a mooring in the bay for over forty years. My family has owned property in Mashpee since the nineteen sixties and boating in the area has been a major part of my life and my child's life for a long time. My dad passed away a couple of years ago and the house in New Seabury was sold but fortunately I was able to buy a cottage in East Falmouth when my daughter was a child so until now our boating life continued as usual. I have been paying my mooring fees and excise taxes to the town over the years and am paid up to date for 2020. Dock space is unaffordable in the area and loosing a place to park near my boat renders my mooring useless. I understand the need to do something about the parking as I have had problems with it myself many times in the last few years. Some people put there boats in across the bay and pick up there friends who park on the causeway. There are others who run businesses out of there involving clamming, kayaking, and fishing and their clients park there as well. I hope something can be done to accommodate the mooring holders and will be attending the call this afternoon. Thank You for your attention to this matter.
