It was agreed the parking permit as proposed would assist to remedy the limited <br /> parking at the Seconsett Island causeway. It was agreed the Board of Selectmen would retain the right to <br /> exercise change if warranted and therefore adopt a one-year trial period. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to support the proposed Non-Resident Parking Permit for <br /> Seconsett Island Road along the causeway directly across from the beach area for; <br /> Non-resident mooring holders at the Seconsett Island/Waquoit Bay mooring field and/or Town of <br /> Falmouth shellfish permit holders; One permit per Household at a cost of$100 per permit with a <br /> maximum of one parking space for each mooring holder or shellfish licensee; effective for the 2020 <br /> season. Town of Mashpee permit holders are eligible to park in this area. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> *The Harbormaster will be requested to provide the Town Clerk with a list of mooring holders in <br /> Seconsett Island/Waquoit Bay to verify the mooring holders in this area, and further, the Town Clerk <br /> will be requested to write the mooring number on the Non-resident parking permit. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Update Discussion and Possible Action Relative to COVID-19: <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins updated the Board of Selectmen on the matter of the COVID-19 virus. <br /> Currently there are 39 cases in the Town of Mashpee. A total of 10 are in isolation, 26 are out of isolation, <br /> and 3 no longer reside in the Town of Mashpee. No fatalities are reported. <br /> The Town Manager held a teleconference with the Town Clerk and the Town Moderator regarding safety <br /> provisions for Town Meeting scheduled to be held on June 15, 2020. The Town Moderator has indicated he <br /> will re-visit the proposed date of Town Meeting at the end of May to ensure its probability. To align with the <br /> requirement for social distancing altered levels of persons attending Town Meeting would be evenly distanced <br /> in the gymnasium and if limitations are required the auditorium will be used as well. Town Meeting will be <br /> held at the Mashpee High School. <br /> The Town Election is scheduled to be held at the Quashnet School on June 23, 2020. <br />
