New 11aterials and M@thods . All new materials and methods <br /> of construction, devices and equipment may be approved by the Building <br /> Inspector for use in Building by the procedure herein provided when they <br /> are approved to be the equal of those specifically required by this code ; t,r <br /> or ,he shall adopt the recommbrndations: ' romi ulgated' by, the Board of Standards <br /> in: the Massachusetts Department of Publics Safety.: . <br /> Section 5 . Sewage . A cesspool or other means of a sewage disposal may ; <br /> I <br /> be constructed only after a permit is secured from the Building Inspector, z <br /> subject to the rules of the Board of Health. <br /> Section 7. Enforcement . aF <br /> Para. 1. This code shall be administered by the Building Inspector . ` <br /> Para. 2 . Stop V-'ork Oder whenever the provisions of this code or the <br /> plans and specifications approved thereunder are not complied with, a stop <br /> work order shall be served on the owner or his representative by the <br /> Building Inspector or his employee, and a copy thereof may be posted at the <br /> side of the construction. Such stop work order shall not be removed except <br /> by,written notice of the Building Inspector after satisfactory evidence <br /> has been supplied that the violation has been corrected . Failure to comply <br /> with such stop work order shall constitute a violation of this code . <br /> Section 8. Board of Appeals . <br /> Para. 1 . A Board of Hppeals shall be appointed by the Selectmen to <br />,r consist of three members . All members shall be residents of the Town of <br /> Mashpee and shall riot be actively engaged in the building trades . The <br /> appointments first made shall be for the term. of three years . Vacancies <br /> shall. be filled by the Board of Selectmen for the i.inexpired term. No mem- <br /> ber shall act in any in which he feels he is disqualified, in which case <br /> the remaining members shall designate a substitute . Every decision of the <br /> B oard shall be in writing, and shall require the assent of at least two <br /> members and shall be a matter of public record. <br /> Para. 2 . Any person aggrieved by a refusal of the Building Inspector <br /> to issue a permit, or by a decision of the Building Inspector made under <br /> the provisions of this code , may appeal to the Board of Appeals . The <br /> Board of Appeals shall hold a public hearing thereon and render a decision. <br /> They, shall make rules for such hearings , and publish notice thereof. <br /> Section 9. Penalty. Any person or persons viol�;.ting any provisions of <br /> this code who do not within a reasonable time rectify such violation shall <br /> be fined not more than twenty dollars for each offense .
