Article 25 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law by amending section 174-25.D.(3) to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "Laboratory, research or software development facility, including limited assembly and <br /> packaging of items such as software, hand-held meters, analyzers and field monitoring <br /> instruments or laboratory equipment, with shipping and receiving only by postal or package <br /> delivery services" <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Planning Board <br /> Explanation: This article is intended to update the currently allowed use "laboratory or research <br /> facility" by specifically including software development and assembly of hand-held meters etc. <br /> typical of many of the high tech businesses located on the Cape. Shipping and receiving is <br /> limited to postal or package delivery services such as UPS or FedEx to prevent traditional <br /> industrial-scale operations and impacts. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 4-�0. <br /> Planning Board voted at a Public Hearing held on September 20, 2006 5-0 to recommend <br /> approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman John Green. <br /> Motion: I move Article 25 be voted as printed in the warrant, except for the phrase "or take any <br /> other action relating thereto". <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:14 PM. <br /> Article 26 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law by amending Section 174-25.E.(7) of <br /> the Table of Use Regulations to indicate, by placing the letters "SP" under the 1-1 column, that a <br /> veterinary establishment, kennel or similar establishment may be allowed by special permit in <br /> the 1-1 Industrial zoning district (in addition to Commercial zoning districts as currently <br /> allowed), and by amending the text of said Section to read as follows: "Veterinary establishment, <br /> kennel, animal day care or similar establishment, provided that animals are housed wholly <br /> indoors, except for exercise runs or yards approved by the special permit granting authority", or <br /> take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Planning Board <br /> 20 <br />
