Article 17 To see if the Town will vote to grant an adjustment to the Personnel Administration Plan (P.A.P.) by adding five additional steps to the salary schedule and to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $8,066 with said funds to be distributed by the Town Accountant,,, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Personnel Department Explanation: This article is placed on the warrant to provide additional steps for non-union employees which will bring internal equity to the positions which are classified under the Personnel Administration Plan.. Funds are needed to cover additional costs associated with adding these steps to the salary schedule. Recommendation,: Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by George Green. Motion: I move the Town vote to grant an adjustment to the Personnel Administration Plan (P.A.P.) by adding five additional steps to the salary schedule and further to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $8,066 with said funds to be distributed by the Town Accountant. Motion passes at 8:23 p.m. Article 18 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds $460,000 to provide for road improvement projects under Chapter 90 related funds, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Department of Public Works Explanation: This article authorizes the use of funds to be 100% reimbursed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These revenues are the apportioned State taxes back to the cities and towns. The level funding for FY05 is anticipated to be restored to the funds from 1998. recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by Wayne Taylor, Motion: I move the Town vote to complete road improvement projects under Chapter 90, and for said purposes and for expenses incidental and related thereto, the Town vote to authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, to borrow $460, at one time or from time to time pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 6.
