Motion made to extend Town Meeting until 10:30 p.m., <br /> Motion to extend Town Meeting until 10:30 p.m. passes at 10:01 p.m. <br /> Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create a full-time Senior Clerk position under the Clerical <br /> Contract, Grade 11, Step I for the Council on Aging and further to see if the Town will vote to <br /> raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $27,934 with said funds to be distributed as <br /> follows: $20,261 in salary, $7,344 to the Medical Insurance Account, $294 to the Medicare <br /> Account, and $35 to the Group Insurance Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Council on Aging <br /> Explanation: This request is to create a full-time Senior Clerk position at the Council on Aging <br /> and to cover the additional cost of fringe benefits should the position be funded. This is done to <br /> improve efficiency and promote continuity in the Reception/Clerical function at the Council on <br /> Aging. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor. <br /> Motion.- I move the Town vote to create a full-time Senior clerk position under the Clerical <br /> Contract, Grade 11, Step 1, for the Council On Aging, and further, the Town vote to raise and <br /> appropriate $27,934 with said funds to be distributed as follows: $20,261 to the Council On <br /> Aging Salary/Wage Account, $7,344 to the Medical Insurance Account, $294 to the Medicare <br /> Account, and $35 to the Group Insurance Account. <br /> Motion passes at 10:07 pm. <br /> Article 14 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create a part-time Clerk for the Police Department under the <br /> Personnel Administration Plan, Grade 2 Step 1, and further to raise and appropriate or transfer <br /> from available funds $10,610, with said funds to be distributed as follows: $9,725 to the Police <br /> Salary/Wage Account and $885 to the Medicare Account, or take any other action relating <br /> thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Police Department <br /> Explanation: This 18-hour per week part-time Clerk position will be assigned duties in the <br /> Mashpee Police Department Administration Division, Clerical Services & Central Records Unit. <br /> Specifically, the part-time Clerk position will be assigned primarily to administrative services <br /> and will provide backup duties for the firearms licensing and records clerks, which are both part- <br /> time positions. This position will provide better administrative support, eliminate the need to <br /> pay for floating clerical coverage and will ensure continuity in the absence of the Administrative <br /> Assistant for the Police Department.
