Since there was no hearing I cannot entertain the article. <br /> Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 10:17 p.m. <br /> Article 50 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, or transfer from available funds, the sum <br /> of$51,000 as the Town's share to the Lake and Pond Grant Program for Mashpee Wakeby Pond <br /> and the Mashpee River for a Watershed Management Plan. Further, to direct the Board of <br /> Selectmen to file the Department of Environmental Management Lake and Pond Grant Program <br /> application by December 31, 1996. Said funds to be administered by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Motion: The Town vote to transfer from revenue available for appropriation the sum of$5,000 <br /> as the Town's share to the Lake and Pond Grant Program for Mashpee Wakeby Pond and the <br /> Mashpee River for a Watershed Management Plan; and further, to authorize the Board of <br /> Selectmen to file the Department of Environmental Management Lake and Pond Grant Program <br /> application by December 31, 1996. Said funds to be administered by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion passes at 10-.,20 p.m. <br /> Article 51 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of <br /> $1,000,000 to the Stabilization Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 10:35 p.m. <br /> Article 52 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Town of Mashpee Code by striking Chapter 40, <br /> Article 1, Section 40-1 (C.) and (D.) and inserting in place thereto the following language: <br /> "C. Articles for the Spring Annual Town Meeting must be submitted by the first <br /> Monday in March each year. Articles for the Fall Annual Town Meeting must <br /> be submitted by the first Monday in August each year. <br /> D. The Selectmen will insert in said warrant, in. the order received by the Town, <br /> Clerk, any article or articles received by them as of said Monday in March and <br /> said Monday in August. All articles will include an explanation prepared by the <br /> party submitting the article. Before calling a Special Town Meeting, the <br /> Selectmen shall insert in a legal newspaper notice specifying the last day upon <br /> which articles to be inserted in the warrant for such meetings shall be presented <br /> to the Selectmen or the Town Clerk. No articles may be added to any Town <br /> Meeting Warrant within thirty (30) days before the issuance of said warrant." <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> 29 <br />
