other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Council on Aging <br /> Explanation: The program is designed to match municipal position opportunities with income eligible elderly <br /> and disabled citizens seeking tax relief. Program goals will be to assist senior and disabled citizens with property <br /> tax bills, to increase involvement of seniors and disabled citizens in municipal government and the school system <br /> and to acknowledge and affirm the skills, talents and abilities of Mashpee's elderly and disabled residents and the <br /> community's continuing need for their services and contributions. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Ken Marsters. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to reauthorize a property tax work-off voucher system in which income eligible <br /> Mashpee residents perform services for the Town in exchange for compensation which can be used for the <br /> payment of property taxes, and reauthorize and appropriate $2,000 of the original $5,000 appropriation to the <br /> Council on Aging Property Tax Voucher System Account to fund such program for fiscal year 1999. <br /> Motion passes at 8:33 p.m. <br /> Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to reauthorize a revolving Council on Aging Account through the Town <br /> Accountant's office in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 53E 1/z to be expended <br /> under the direction of the Council on Aging, in order to place anticipated revenues collected from program <br /> income which shall be used to further the operation of programs under the Council on Aging, and to establish the <br /> limit on expenditures from said account for Fiscal year 1999 at $3,000, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Council on Aging <br /> Explanation: Revolving account is required in order to receive and disburse funds generated through programs <br /> supported by such revolving fund. Revenues must be used to offset expenses of these programs. <br /> Anticipated Budget: <br /> Revenues $3,000 <br /> Expenditures $3,000 <br /> This account will be managed by the Council on Aging through its agent. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Nancy Caffyn. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to reauthorize a revolving Council on Aging Account through the Town <br /> Accountant's office in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 53E 1/z to be expended <br /> under the direction of the Council on Aging, in order to place anticipated revenues collected from program <br /> 17 <br />
