Motion made by Selectman Costa <br /> Motion: I move the Town expand, renovate, equip and furnish the Town Hall (Samuel Davis <br /> School) and all necessary access ways and for said purposes and for expenses incidental and <br /> related thereto, the sum of$1,500,000.00 be appropriated and the Treasurer with the approval of <br /> the Board of Selectmen, be authorized to borrow at one time or from time to time, $1,500,000.00 <br /> under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7(3) and 3(A), of the General Laws, or any other <br /> enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor. <br /> Motion to amend to read $176,000.00 to replace heating system, air conditioning, repair roof and <br /> correct drainage. <br /> Motion to amend defeated at 8:47 p.m. <br /> Motion to appropriate and borrow $1,500,000.00 passes 138 to 36 at 8:54 p.m. <br /> Article 16 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds the <br /> sum of$438,527 to complete road improvement projects under Chapter 90 of the General Laws, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Director of Public Works <br /> Explanation: This article authorizes the use of State Grant funds for the next two-year Chapter <br /> 90 road improvement program. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to complete road improvement projects under Chapter 90; and <br /> for said purposes and for expenses incidental and related thereto, the Town vote to authorize the <br /> Treasurer with the approval of the Board of Selectmen to borrow $438,527 at one time or from <br /> time to time pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 6. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:55 p.m. <br /> Article 17 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to grant an easement to <br /> Commonwealth Electric Company for the installation and maintenance of necessary poles and <br /> equipment on the Town-owned land located off Meetinghouse Road and shown on Mashpee <br /> Assessors Map 61, Lot 3, in order to service the Town of Mashpee Police firing range, or take <br /> any other action relating thereto. <br /> 10 <br />
