"The Town Clerk's Office shall have the authority to assist the Animal Control Officer in issuing <br /> non-criminal citations for unlicensed dogs, in accordance with M.G.L. 40, Section 21.D. <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Town Clerk <br /> and Animal Control Officer <br /> Explanation: This amendment would allow the Town Clerk's office to alleviate the paperwork <br /> for the Animal Control Officer and enable the Clerk to issue violations. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Wayne Taylor. <br /> Motion: I move Article 18 be approved as printed in the warrant with the exception of the <br /> phrase, "or take any other action related thereto." <br /> Motion passes at 8:09pm. <br /> Article 19 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Section 5-8 of its General Bylaws by striking the words, <br /> "or appointed" from the first sentence, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: Currently, Section 5-8 of the General Bylaws specifies that no member of the <br /> Finance Committee may hold any other elected or appointed Town office. This article seeks to <br /> remove the restriction that no member of the Finance Committee may hold another appointed <br /> Town office. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends to indefinitely postpone. <br /> Motion made by Nancy Caffyn. <br /> Motion: I move to indefinitely postpone. <br /> Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 8:llpm. <br /> Article 20 <br /> To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire, by purchase or otherwise, <br /> for general municipal purposes, two parcels of land bounded generally by Great Neck Road <br /> North, Main Street (Route 130), the Cape Cod Coffee parcel and the Town Hall parcel, shown on <br /> the 1998 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 36, Blocks 15 and 52, with Block 15 containing <br /> Page 14 of 63 <br />
